亲爱的家长
在这个学期我们的英文音乐课程之中,我们使用奥福音乐教学法来教导我们的孩子。请容我向您介绍这一个在全球非常受到欢迎的音乐教学法—奥福音乐教学法。这一个音乐教学法是专为儿童们而设计的。它包含了歌唱、乐器学习、跳舞以及音乐律动,孩子们不但能够学习独自表演,也能和同侪一齐团体合奏。孩子们不需要有任何音乐的背景来上这一门课,因为奥福的音乐课程是渐进式的 : 首先,我们教导孩子念诵一些英文的童谣。经由念诵的过程,不但能够提升孩子们的英文能力,也能增进他们对于音感节奏的敏锐度。之后,再训练孩子们的歌唱技巧,对于孩子们来说就容易许多了。在学习乐器方面,刚开始我们先让孩子们接触一些敲击乐器,让他们对于节奏感熟悉了以后,才开始学习一些有音高的乐器,像是: 钟琴、木琴、以及铁琴。当孩子们有能力单独演奏这一些乐器时,他们会从中获得成就感而更加喜爱音乐。除了单独演奏的能力以外,孩子们也将具备与同侪一齐合奏的能力,这不但能够训练他们分工合作的精神,也能培养他们的人际关系。另一个奥福音乐教学法的特色,是鼓励孩子们将他们对于音乐的感受力藉由舞蹈以及肢体的律动呈现出来,因此在学习音乐的过程中,也能达到增强体魄、平衡身心的发展。奥福音乐教学法非常强调孩子们的创造力以及多元化的发展。它帮助孩子们提升具有创造力的思考模式,带给孩子们信心以及乐趣。同时,教导孩子们将音乐与生活经验做链接。在这么一个活泼而有趣的方式下学习音乐,孩子们必定获益良多。我相信孩子们会非常喜欢他们的音乐课!!

Dear parents,
        This semester, in our English music classes, we will be applying the Orff-Schulwerk music approach in teaching our students. It’s my pleasure to introduce this popular music approach, Orff-Schulwerk to you. This approach is designed especially for children. It includes singing, playing instruments, dancing, and movement that is performed individually and in groups. Students don’t need to have any music background to attend Orff music class because this music approach is taught step-by-step. First, we teach students to chant nursery rhymes. This will not only enhance students’ English ability but also their singing ability. Then they will learn how to sing songs by themselves and in groups. To learn how to play instruments, we start with some percussion instruments which help students to get familiar with different rhythms. Then, they will learn how to play pitched instruments, such as the metallophone, the xylophone, and the glockenspiel. Playing these instruments solo, children will feel accomplished and be willing to learn more about music. Playing in groups will teach them how to cooperate with their classmates and develop their social skills. Also, this approach encourages children to release their feelings towards music by moving their body and dancing. In the process of learning music, it helps students to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The Orff-Schulwerk approach emphasizes improvisations and is multi-disciplined. It helps students to build up their confidence and interest in the process of creative thinking. It also explores students’ experiences with music and other disciplines. Learning about music with such an active and joyful way is wonderful. I am sure your children will enjoy this approach to music education!!
